Ferndene Guest House - Keswick

The family-run Ferndene Guest House offers high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick, 10 minutes’ walk from the Theatre by the Lake and Derwent Water. The building has mountain views, and Ferndene provides free parking and Wi-Fi and an extensive breakfast menu.

Rooms include a flat-screen TV, radio alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. Each has an en suite shower room with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

We offer a wholesome and mouth-watering breakfast toour guests in order toyou up for a relaxing day in the beautiful Lake District. We aim to use the best of local and Fair Trade produce meeting individual needs as best we can.

Our Ferndene special cooked Breakfast contains a large locally made Cumberland sausage curl, two rashers of fresh local Cumbrian bacon, grilled fresh tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, beans and scrambled eggs or fried eggs. Or, you could try our range of tasty Breakfast Baps with bacon andor sausage.

To complement your breakfast, we provide fresh toast (white, wholemeal or a mix) with a selection of spreads including jams, marmalades and honey.

Fresh orange and apple fruit juices can be selected with your breakfast. A wide variety of hot drinks are available in your room for your enjoyment, including Fair Trade tea and coffee, an extensive range of Earl Grey, green, herbal and fruit teas and decaffeinated tea and coffee.

We can cater for most dietary requirements (please ask for further details) and are pleased to offer many gluten free options and vegetarian and vegan variants of our breakfasts and baps

Double Room. This room is in the modern annexe at the rear of the guest house, conveniently located next to the car park. It is equipped with an LCD TV, hairdryer, radioalarm clock, extensive refreshment tray and toiletries. ;
King or Twin Room. This room is in the modern annexe at the rear of the guest house, conveniently located next to the car park. A large en-suite king-size or twin bedroom with comfortable seating area is included. The room contains a large en-suite bathroom with shower facilities. It is equipped with an LCD TV, hairdryer, radioalarm clock, extensive refreshment tray and toiletries. ;
Suite. The suite is situated on the very top floor of the main house. It offers views in Keswick, a panoramic display of Skiddaw, Lattrigg, Blencathra, Catbells, Newlands and much more. Guests in the suite have exclusive use of the entire top floor of the house, comprised of a bedroom with king size bed. It also contains a lounge area with LCD TV and DVD player. There is an en-suite bathroom with power shower. Additional amenities include a refreshment tray, toiletries and hairdryer. ;
Double Room with View. An en-suite double bedroom on the third floor of the main house. It offers guests mountain views over Skiddaw and Blencathra. The room includes a modern en-suite bathroom with shower. Amenities include a hairdryer, LCD TV with Freeview, radioalarm clock, toiletries and refreshment tray. ;
Small Double Room. This room is in the modern annexe at the rear of the guest house, located next to the car park. It offers en-suite shower facilities. Room amenities include an LCD TV, hairdryer, radioalarm clock, extensive refreshment tray, and toiletries.rooms are supplied with a hand towel and an extra large bath sheet per person. ;
Superior King Room. The room is high, spacious and bright, running the full width of the house with two large windows and views overlooking St Johns Church toward Catbells and Causey Pike. The room is located in the main house on the third floor It contains a seating area with armchairs and a digital LCD TV, with a further TV for viewing in bed. Large and modern, the room contains an en-suite bathroom with shower. The room is well equipped with a hairdryer, two LCD TVs, radioalarm clock, toiletries and refreshment tray. ;
