Inverness Youth Hostel - Inverness

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Rail Station, Inverness Youth Hostel offers free private parking and bicycle storage.

Eastgate shopping centre is a 10-minute walk from this hostel. Hootananny, a popular music venue, is just 15 minutes’ walk away.

Culloden Battlefield and its visitor centre can be reached after a 10-minute drive. The banks of Loch Ness and the country village of Dores are both a 20-minute drive away. Urquart Castle is within 30 minutes’ drive of Inverness Youth Hostel.

All rooms have shared bathroom facilities and are simply furnished. Packed lunches can be arranged on request and luggage storage is available.

Hostelling Scotland is a charity and membership organisation. For non-members, a supplement per person, per night is included in the published rate.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 10:00.

Full payment forbookings will be charged at the time of booking.major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.

All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).

Individual reservations (Up to 9 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 7 days before the arrival date. If cancelled within the 7 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.

Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.

No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.

Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.

Parties with children under 12 years will only be accommodated in private rooms,available. Hostelling Scotland advises that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available.

There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.

Check-in from 16:00 to 23:00 (Summer), 16.00-22.00 (winter) and check-out is until 10.00.
