Royal Britannia Hotel - Ilfracombe

Located in the picturesque Devonshire town of Illfracombe is the Royal Britannia Hotel. Totally refurbished in 2010, the hotel overlooks the harbour and has 2 restaurants and 2 bars, offering cuisine from Northern China, Sunday carvery and bar meals.

Former notable guests of the hotel include Lord Admiral Nelson and King Edward VII. Rooms at the Royal Britannia feature TVs and teacoffee making facilities, whilst some have sea views and spa baths.

The large restaurant has exposed wooden beams and serves English and international cuisine. There is a carvery with a range of meat, and a sea-food menu featuring the fresh catch from Illfracombe harbour.

There are two bars, serving a wide range of drinks and light snacks throughout the day. Devonshire cream teas are also available for guests to enjoy.

The hotel is surrounded by the harbour stunning countryside walks. The golden, sandy beaches of Woolacommbe are a haven for surfers, and are a 10-minute drive away.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Superior Double Room with Sea View. Lord Nelson and King Edward VII have stayed in these harbour-view rooms This room is only 6 metres away from the waters edge and has a 42-inch flat screen TV with a full Sky package. This room is located on the second floor. ;
Double Room. A spacious double room located on the first floor. ;
King Room with Four Poster Bed and Sea View. This first floor en suite room has a four-poster bed and is only 7 metres away from the waters edge. The room has full Sky TV package supplied free of charge. ;
Superior Double Room with Four Poster Bed and Sea View. The Lord Nelson room has a super king-size four-poster bed and is just 8 metres from the waters edge.The room has full Sky TV package supplied free of charge. ;
Small Double Room. These small en suite rooms range in size (12x8.5ft 10.5x10ft 11x12ft 14x11ft). They are compact, with an en suite shower room, a flat-screen TV and teacoffee making facilities. Some are located on the first floor and some on the second. ;
Standard Triple Room. This second floor room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed, to accommodate a maximum of 3 guests. ;
Executive Room with Four Poster Bed and Sea View. This first-floor large room Sir Wheelers room has a view of Harbour and is just 7 metres away from the waters edge. It has a super king four-poster bed as well as a single bed. The room has full Sky TV package supplied free of charge. ;
Family Room. This second floor en suite room offers 1 double bed and a bunk bed and suits a family of 4. ;
Twin Room. This room is located on the second floor and features an en suite bathroom. ;
Quadruple Room. This room is located on the second floor and has 2 king-size beds. ;
Deluxe Double Room with Sea View. This first floor en suite room offers views of the harbour and a bath. It is just 8 metres from the waters edge.
