Located within the Cairngorms National Park, the Macdonald Aviemore Hotel at Macdonald Aviemore Resort is part of the Macdonald Aviemore Resort which boasts a collection of 4-star hotels, a choice of restaurants and bars, as well as extensive leisure facilities including an on-site cinema. There is a championship golf course nearby.

The 4-star rooms at the Macdonald Aviemore Hotel at Macdonald Aviemore Resortfeature a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a bath or shower and free WiFi. Some family rooms feature a partitioned area with bunk beds. Other family rooms will either have a sofa bed or a pop-up bed.

Within this hotel you’ll find Spey Burger, a contemporary American-style family diner serving burgers, burritos, milkshakes and more. Guests have access to a wide range of dining options across the resort. Other restaurants within a few minutes’ walk include Aspects Restaurant in Macdonald Highlands Hotel and Giovanni’s Italian Ristorante in the Macdonald Morlich Hotel. Both Spey Burger and Giovannis are seasonal restaurants.

Guests staying in Macdonald Aviemore Hotel at Macdonald Aviemore Resort have free access to the resort’s leisure facilities within Aviemore Activity Centre. Located a short 5-minute walk across the resort the centre includes a large leisure pool, soft play, gym and café seasonal.

Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 11:00.

Family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and one child, or 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are not suitable for more than 2 adults.

The creditdebit card used to book a pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.

Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season

For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Standard Double Room. This room features a flat-screen TV, teacoffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. The en-suite facilities contain Arran Aromatics toiletries and a hairdryer. ;
Triple Room. Aviemore Hotel Family 3 - King plus pop out single bed. Our classic doubles are ideal for any family break away and can sleep to a family up to three. ;

Double Room. Aviemore Hotel Double + Bunk Bed. Make yourself at home in one of our newly refurbished family bunk rooms, one of which is big enough to accommodate a family of up to four with bunk beds for the children. ;
Classic Family Room - 3. This room comes with a king bed, a double sofa bed and a pull up bed. Also includes luxury toiletries, teacoffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, flat screen TV and unlimited Wifi internet access. ;
Double Room. Aviemore Hotel Double Double + Single pop up bed ;
Classic Family Room - 4. The classic family rooms can sleep a family of up to 3 people. Also includes luxury toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, flat screen TV and unlimited WiFi internet. This room accommodates a maximum of 2 adults per family room. Any reservations made for more than 2 adults will be assigned a second room at additional cost. ;
Standard King Room. This room includes comfortable furnishings, Arran Aromatic toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, flat screen TV and unlimited WiFi internet access. ;
Suite. This spacious room comes with a comfortable area for children with bunk beds, 2 flat-screen TVs and a modern bathroom. For those extra touches this suite also offers Arran Aromatics Toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary bottled water. Unlimited WiFi access is provided.
